Background / Insight

Being a Nordic foreign exchange market giant, Forex has established itself as the go-to place to get your currency before traveling abroad. But lately, Forex has been facing headwinds due to Sweden being one of the most digitized countries, and cash hardly being used. Instead, Swedes rely heavily on electronic payment methods. Research shows that Sweden is an exception from most of the countries Swedes like to travel to. Cash is still a necessity and the consequence of Swedes forgetting to change currency before traveling is that they end up spending some limited holiday time trying to find ATM and currency exchange offices.

Solution

With the campaign “En sedel tusen möjligheter” we shrank the gap between cash and the things it can get you while on holiday. The campaign explores the multitude of possibilities that cash opens up your holiday to. It features a series of objects associated with holidays, which have been shaped by the folding of cash. Instead of reminding people not to forget cash, the yellow ads highlight how cash helps you experience those holiday moments we long for. The campaign was amplified across video-on-demand (VOD), print, display, social, and out-of-home (OOH) sites across Sweden.
